We’re having a wedding! A weekend celebration to bring together all the important people in our lives, as we mark ten wonderful years together.

There’ll be good food, drinks, dancing, and time to just hang out in the beautiful Danish countryside. We hope that you can join us!

  • Friday 28th – Sunday 30th August 2026

There will be some fun activities planned on Sunday, so you're welcome to stay as late as you like - no rushed goodbyes.

  • Frederiksmindevej 11, 4960 Holeby, Denmark

A lovely house in the Danish countryside, on the island of Lolland.
About an hour south of Copenhagen, or a short ferry from Germany on the Puttgarden–Rødby line (which lands right on the island).

  • If you’re flying into Copenhagen, we’ll organise a shuttle bus from the airport on Friday (and back on Sunday). Guests just cover their share of the cost — let us know in the RSVP if you’d like to be included.

    • recommended flights from london and bristol and manchester

Or, of course, feel free to find your own way there by car or train (we might be able to arrange lifts from the station)

    • parking

    • train

  • There are a few options, depending on your budget and preferences:

    • Rooms in the main house and guesthouse on site

    • Glamping tents in the garden

    • B&Bs nearby, walking distance

    • A hotel 5 minutes’ drive away (with taxis on us)

We’ll help arrange accommodation based on what works best for you — no pecking order, just practical choices based on who’s happy glamping, who has a car, etc. Let us know your preference in the RSVP.

faqs

  • For the main day on Saturday we’re going for a “summer garden party” feel. There’s no bridal party colour scheme, so no colours are off limits. Just wear something you feel nice in!

Over the weekend we’ll be mostly outside (weather permitting), so consider the weather and shoes you’re happy to roam around in.

For Friday, we’ll be wearing something more casual but still a bit special - and Sunday is a chill-out day, so bring something comfy.

  • Make sure to bring swimming stuff if you want to join the sauna or lake activities, and activewear if you want to participate in yoga or the group run on Saturday morning.

  • We love your little ones, but we’re hoping this weekend can be just for us grown-ups. We want everyone to be able to fully relax, celebrate, and dance the night away. We hope it can be a little getaway for you too.

  • If you’re extending the weekend whilst you’re here in Denmark, here’s a few recommendations from us to keep you busy:

    For the outdoorsy types

Lolland and the surrounding islands are full of natural beauty, with big skies and quiet coastlines.

    • Hike or bike through Nakskov Fjord or the Maribo Lakes Nature Park: peaceful, flat trails and birdlife

    • Go island-hopping: take a ferry to Fejø or Femø for quaint villages, cider orchards, and quiet beaches

    • Swim! If the weather’s right, the beaches at Hestehovedet or Albuen are great for a dip

    For the arty types

    • Fuglsang Art Museum (Lolland) – modern and Danish art in a sleek building on an old manor estate.

    • Dodekalitten: a strange and stunning open-air sculpture park with panoramic views and sound installations, perched above the sea.

    • Louisiana Museum of Modern Art (Copenhagen area): probably our favourite gallery in the world, with epic views over the Øresund.

    For the foodies

We have so many tips but here are a few standouts:
    In Lolland / nearby:

    • Restaurant Ö (at Hotel Bandholm): Nordic-style, beautifully done.

    • Pomle Nakke Traktørsted: seaside location, fresh seasonal food.

    • Fruens Vilje: local, cosy café with homebaked goods.

    In Copenhagen:

    • Sanchez: Incredible Mexican food from one of Copenhagen’s top chefs

    • Grød: porridge, but make it fancy, with all the toppings

    • Hart Bageri: the best pastries in the city

    • Baest: sourdough pizza, charcuterie and burrata made in-house.

For the vintage / design lovers

    • Studio x Viaduct or Dora in Copenhagen: design-led gifts and vintage finds

    • Ravnsborggade (Nørrebro): a whole street of vintage and secondhand stores

    • Le Fix or Time’s Up Vintage: curated high-end vintage in the city

    • Studio Arhoj: Beautiful handmade ceramics and glassware

    • Shrig shop: The one and only David Shrigley’s shop, great for prints and strange gifts

For those who just want to unwind

    • Sauna and sea dips: try La Banchina or CopenHot (Copenhagen) for the classic Nordic experience

    • Frederiksdal Kirsebærvin: cherry wine tasting on a historic estate

    • Krenkerup Brewery: local beer and pretty grounds

    • Spa days: Kurhotel Skodsborg or Manon Les Suites for luxury time

  • We feel incredibly lucky that so many of you are travelling all the way to Denmark to celebrate with us. That alone means the world, so please don’t feel obliged to give us anything beyond your company.

If you would still like to give a gift, a contribution towards our honeymoon would be deeply appreciated.

  • Don’t fret! We’ve got a plan - if the weather is not looking great for the weekend, we will move most of the activities into the barn on site. Just make sure to bring appropriate clothes and shoes.

  • We’ll set up a broadcast channel on WhatsApp for the wedding weekend, but if you need to get in touch with either of us beforehand, you can reach us at:
